Pate de Verre Vessel

This beautiful, one-of-kind glass piece won first place in a juried art show.

Pate de verre is a method of kiln casting glass. Crushed glass is mixed with a binding agent to form a paste, packed into a mold with glass powders, and fired in a kiln. After firing and cooling, the mold is broken away and the fused glass piece is cleaned and the wire lacing added. Approximately 5.5x4.5 inches
